Adele Triumphs at Grammy's

Adele made a superb return to the musical stage after vocal chord surgery to win an amazing six Grammy awards at this years ceremony, dedicating one of the awards to the doctor that saved her voice.

 

The Tottenham born singer, 23, marked her comeback by scooping all the honours that she was nominated for and declared " Mum - girl did good." Her success matched Beyonces for most Grammys by a female act in a single night, but without laser surgery in November for a vocal chord haemorrhage, Adele could have lost her singing voice.

 

She earned a standing ovation at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles for her first live performance since the operation singing Rolling in the Deep, for which she won record of the year as well as song of the year. As she went on to deliver her vocal performance she dedicated the win to her doctor who as she said "brought her voice back."

 

When announced as the winning album of the year for 21 she sobbed and said " mum - girl did good." She declared that this record is something that everyones been through, and that is a rubbish relationship. She ended the night collecting Grammys for best solo performance for her chart topper "Someone Like You" and best short form music video for Rolling In The Deep.

 

Adele already has two Grammys from 2009 her total now beats the seven the The Beatles amassed before they split.
