CD Mastering

Our CD mastering services are probably the best value for money anywhere in Europe.

Cutting Suite CD mastering

With CD mastering, we can produce warm detail mastered from your original music. We also recommend you leave it as close to the original as possible, as we have a collection of superb valve compressors and EQs that are beyond the budget of many recording studios.

Our mastering techniques include passing the signal from our Sadie mastering system through pristine converters.

We have the latest DACs and ADCs by Benchmark – incredible sounding converters, now used by some of the top producers in the country over Prism and Appogee; we are also the first mastering studio to get the new ADCs from Benchmark. Using such quality converters ensures the most accurate conversion of your music to the analogue domain and back again. This gives us the ability to use our beautiful sounding outboard equipment instead of plug-ins to achieve warm, rich sound that only real valves can produce. If you prefer, we can also keep the original in digital form and use our impressive array of mastering tools and plug-ins like the Fairchild compressors, and Joe Meek EQs etc in our DAWs, either in Protools or Sadie.

All of our digital equipment is perfectly synchonised by the Appogee Big Ben studio digital clock source. This ensures perfect digital transfers and keeps all of our workstations locked, which ensures pristine sound quality at all times. Once you are happy with the sound, we then produce the production masters on either a red-book CDR master, a DDP image on DVD (which is the latest production format), or on exabyte, which is still the preferred format of many pressing plants. From these masters, the glass master is produced for pressing.

We also give you 2 copy(s), which you can take away on CD to listen to. Prices: From £95/hr inc all DDP/exabyte/CDR masters and 2 listening CDs. Please allow 3-6 hours to master an album, depending on the material.
